How it works
Three inputs, then a shortlist you can argue with.
1. Set the whole budget
One number for the entire trip, not a nightly rate. Add who is travelling and roughly how long you have.
2. See what fits
Destinations are ranked by whether the complete trip lands inside your budget, with the cost broken into parts you can inspect.
3. Make it fit
Shift the dates, trim a night, change the spending profile. Each change updates the total and explains what moved.

WholeAway separates provider prices from planning benchmarks and shows when each figure was obtained.
Retrieved for this search
When a provider returns an accommodation rate, WholeAway shows its retrieval time. If no rate is returned, the amount stays unavailable.
A documented planning benchmark
Daily spending is calculated from documented assumptions and shown as a budget-planning benchmark, never as a bookable price.
Missing stays missing
When a figure is unavailable, the app says so and the total is marked incomplete. It does not quietly fill the gap.
WholeAway is a planning tool. It does not sell flights or rooms and cannot guarantee that a price or a room is still available when you go to book it.
Built to stay out of your business
Usable without an account
Search and compare as a guest. An account is required only for work stored on the server, such as saved trips and price tracking.
Personalisation stays on the device
Search history and learned preferences live on your phone, can be switched off, exported and deleted item by item.
